Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

This policy describes how Bible Habit (operated by Oleksandr Bezuhlyi, the developer listed on the App Store and Google Play; “we”, “us”) handles your data.

The short version

Your reading progress, streaks, plan settings and the list of apps you choose to block stay on your device. We don't ask you to create an account and we don't sell your data.

What we process

Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play and our billing provider RevenueCat. We receive an anonymous purchase record tied to a random app-instance identifier (no name, no card details).

Usage analytics. We collect a minimal set of anonymous usage events (e.g. “onboarding completed”, “chapter finished”) via PostHog, hosted in the EU. No session recording, no advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking.

Crash reports. If the app crashes, an anonymous technical report (device model, OS version, stack trace — no user id, no personal data) is sent to Sentry, hosted in the EU.

Bible texts & AI answers. When the app downloads a translation or you ask the built-in assistant a question, the request goes to our server. It contains the passage and your question. Like any web server, ours receives your IP address; standard technical logs are kept briefly for security and then deleted.

App blocking. Screen Time (iOS) / Usage access (Android) data is used only on the device to lock and unlock the apps you selected. It never leaves your phone.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, don't share it with advertisers or data brokers, don't track you across other companies' apps and websites, and don't collect your contacts, location, or browsing history. Our third-party providers (RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry) process data only on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies linked above.

Your choices & data deletion

You can revoke the app-blocking permissions at any time in your device settings. Deleting the app deletes your local data. To request deletion of purchase records, analytics or crash data linked to your app instance — or for any other privacy request (including under GDPR) — email us and we'll handle it: support@bible-habit.app.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
